On today’s episode, Matt spoke with the incredibly talented Jelani Remy who – starting next month – will be back on the Imperial stage as Eddie Kendricks in “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations.” But, before that, he will make his Birdland debut this Sunday, Sept. 26 at 8:30 p.m. with a solo show that will feature pop, soul, and musical theater songs to tell his own story of his life.
In the conversation, Jelani and Matt discuss what seeing his friends return to the stage has meant to him, what he anticipates that his first not back on Broadway will be like, how he carefully crafted his cabaret show, and much, much more; and of course, Matt had to ask him about his favorite credit on Jelani's resume, “Broadway’s Masked Singer”!
