Special Episode: Rupert Holmes on His Habit of Writing About Murder

On today's episode, Matt Tamanini is once again chatting with the legendary, award-winning writer of plays, musicals, pop hits, TV, and books, Rupert Holmes. While theatre fans know him for his Tony-winning musicals "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" and "Curtains," as well as his acclaimed plays "Accomplice" and "Solitary Confinement" -- all of which have to do with murder -- on Tuesday, Feb. 21, Holmes will release his latest book "Murder Your Employer: The McMasters Guide to Homicide (Vol. 1)."

The book tells the story of a fictional (or is it?) conservatory that trains worthy individuals in the homicidal arts. In their conversation, the pair discusses the draw of murder mysteries, Rupert's plans for the series, the incredible casts of his Broadway whodunits, the legacy of Burt Bacharach, and much more.
