Special Episode: Danielle Ferland on Being 'Excited and Scared' for Her Solo Cabaret Debut

On today's episode, Matt Tamanini chats with an actress that musical theatre lovers of many generations literally saw grow up in front of their eyes. Whether that was because they saw her in the original Broadway productions of "Sunday in the Park with George" or "Into the Woods," or have worn out the PBS recordings of both in the decades since, Danielle Ferland has made an indelible mark on millions of theatre fans. 

Since originating the roles of Louise in "Sunday" and "Little Red" in "Into the Woods," Danielle has had a full career on stage and screen, but she has yet to make her solo cabaret debut. However, that changes this weekend on Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 at 7 p.m. at the Green Room 42. 

In their conversation, Matt and Danielle discuss how she has put together her first cabaret, the enduring legacy of "Into the Woods," and her experience working with Stephen Sondheim.
